    I found some problems in PgcEdit --Trace Mode-- :

    -when a SetSTN command over runed and, for example, set sub=1,on; immedately SPRM2 changes to 65 but in left-below section SubPic don't change.
    -when I runed to another Title (VTS) [a trailer which has 1 audio & no sub], by default, sub=off and audio=0. But value of SPRM 1&2 in SPRMs window don't change.
    -I set Parental=level 2 in Virtual Player Setup. When I select "Yes" in command that asks for changing level 2 into 8, SPRM 13 don't change and this cause the tracing process couldn't resume. So, I must change SPRM 13 into 8 or 15 manually.
    -I found that in the players, if I select another Title (Title2) manually (or by remote control) when I play Title1, the GPRMs value is reseted, but in Trace Mode I don't see. [I'm not sure, it is right?]

  2. Sorry to reply only now. (If you want quick replies, post at Doom9.)

    - When the SetSTN command is executed, its action is limited to change the SPRM(s). But the real stream change occurs only when the player actually plays a video stream. Furthermore, if, say, the audio stream is #3 and the title or menu currently playing has only one audio stream, the GPRM is ignored, and stream #0 is used. So PgcEdit is right. It displays the strean that the player is currently playing, not the stream configured in the GPRM.

    - The value in SPRMs 1 and 2 should never change, except when a SetSTN command is executed, and when the user changes manually the stream with the remote. This is why it is possible to configure a stream for the main Title when a menu is playing (there is only one audio and subpic streams in the menu domains, but you can already select another stream, that will be played when the player will reach the main movie).

    - There might be a bug in the parental management control. Honestly, I don't know it well, as here in Belgium, it is extremely difficult to find a DVD with parental control. If you have a good example, please send me the IFOs, and explain what the player should do exactly. I'll try to fix the bug, if it is confirmed. Thanks.

    - Some GPRMs are modified as soon as a title is entered. You can see them in the trace log. Here is an example:
    -- pre 4 : (JumpTT) Jump to Title 8
    -> sprm(4:Title number in volume) = 8 (0x0008)
    -> sprm(5:Title number in VTS) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(6:PGC number) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(7:Chapter number (or PGN)) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(14:Video preference and current mode) = 3072 (0x0C00) = button 3
    ------> Entering VTST 8 , 1 TTN 1 (0:11) Title 8
    So, I don't understand your problem.
    With some players, it is possible to call a specific Title from the Exit state. (Press Stop twice to enter Exit state, then a number on the remote to play that title. You can also play Title 1 by pressing Play.) When you play a Title that way, it is true that all GPRMs are reset to 0. Is it what you mean?
    To simulate the playback of Title 1 from the Exit state, click on the "Insert DVD" button with the right mouse button. You will see this:
    Exit state: "D:\rip\California Dreamin'\VIDEO_TS"
    Exit state: ""; Provider: CALIFORNIA
    Exit state: Resetting all GPRMs to 0.
    Exit state: Beginning navigation at Title 1
    -> sprm(4:Title number in volume) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(5:Title number in VTS) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(6:PGC number) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(7:Chapter number (or PGN)) = 1 (0x0001)
    -> sprm(14:Video preference and current mode) = 3072 (0x0C00) = button 3
    As you can see, all GPRMs are cleared.
    Currently, it is not possible to call another Title than Title 1 with this method. I haven't implemented it, as most players cannot play the titles that way. Anyway, it is easy to do it manually. Right-click on the Insert DVD button, then select manually the first line of the entry PGC of the Title you want to play (the line with the "*** pre commands" label), and continue the trace.
