  1. I have put in mutilple blank dvds' DVD+R DL and DVD-R and it will not recognize them. I am trying to burn a dvd. It will recognize cds and my kids elmo dvd. What can I do? Am I using the wrong DVD?

  3. i am using convertxtodvd, however I can see when i go to mhy computer and then the drive, it is not there, and window media player says no disk

    Whatever you are "converting to DVD" with that program needs to go on to your computer's hard drive first. Very few programs allow you to use the final, playable DVD as the original output source.

  5. The problem is not the software recognizing it, the computer is not even recognizing any blank dvd that I put in, any program I open says no disk in drive

    With no CD/DVD software open and ready....when I put a blank DVD in either of my drives....NOTHING happens.

  7. if i have windows media player open, if I right click on my drive from my computer, is it possible this is not a dvd burner. I was sure it was

    Matshita drives are mainly in laptops and are notorious CRAP. Your burner is probably
    a burner but...it is just dirty, got overheated one too many times(by the laptop battery), or is just dead.
