Hi,
i have looked everywhere on the forums and i have not come accross to a solution to my problem. im trying to capture video from my xbox and watch what im doing on the tv at the same time.
here is my set up:
XBOX connected to Intensity Pro Thru HDMI cable in the Input slot.
Then i have an HDMI to COMPONENT cable connected to my TV.
Long story short, i can capture video on my PC as normal, but i cant get my
TV to show an image. its a black screen.

There's no such thing as an HDMI to component cable. The cable you bought is for a bastardized device that uses an HDMI connector to output component video. The cable does not convert normal digital HDMI signals to analog component video. The seller was just taking advantage of people who don't understand this.

Does your TV have HDMI input? If so, a simple HDMI splitter will do the trick. Check out Monoprice.
Have a good one,
