    This is really really odd.

Firstly i have an mkv file which i have transcoded with multiavchd and i select blu ray option like i always do. The file extension goes from mkv to d2ts.

This new transcoded file has no audio in it. I check using mediainfo and find out it's dts audio. The weird thing is that my original file the mkv file also has dts audio in it and it can work on my pc, Why is this so?

I tried windows media player no sound but with the mplayer it does work.

The odd thing is why does my original file have sound even on windows media player but the transcoded file has none and needs another player?

But it's different containers, mkv and mt2s so it's not so strange. Why are you making a m2ts?

I didn't choose to do so. Whenever i used multiavchd to transcode it always changes the mkv file to m2ts files.

IS there anyway to prevent this? I did not select any option to change the file type cos i want mkv file but since it's m2ts i don't mind keeping it cos it takes time to transcode these files and i don't want to waste time redoing it to mkv again.

Btw perhaps you have a link for me to follow so that i can change it to mkv rather than m2ts

Try mkvtoolnix / mkvmergegui to make a mkv from the m2ts.

But what are you doing with multiavchd? If you are just shrinking and resizing try uncropmkv.

Hi if I used mkvtoolnix would it take hours to reencode it back to mkv?

I apologise for asking this but I cannot find the link on how to use uncrop for resizing the file
