  1. I used to ripped movies and put them on DVD5, for backup.

With two DVD burners, Can any version of Nero let me just do a disc duplication with DVD9 ?

Not without a secret de-coder, like AnyDVD.

You may already know this, but most commercial movies can be backed up to a DL disc if you get rid of the extra languages, subs and other crap and only select the main movie. Once the DVD is decrypted, DVDShrink is still a good choice. Then burn the resulting file to a DL disc with ImgBurn. This combo has been working for me for quite a long time. I have AnyDVD HD, but DVDFab works also for decryption.

I don't use Nero at all any more, but it might work if you use the correct decrypter, then use Nero. But DVDShrink and ImgBurn seem a lot easier, and a lot cheaper.

I'll assume that is a typo...

Never use Nero to burn DL discs unless you like to throw away money and enjoy making coasters

  7. Is most of these encryption schemes used defective sectors ? to defeat ISO type bit by bit backup ?

Shouldn't ISObuster type of bit by bit copy work for two layers DVD to DVD copy ?
Unless the writable DL DVD cannot duplicate the format or the capacity or .. of a factor DVD.
