hello. I made a DVD of a videotape i have. When playing it in a portable Philips DVD player, it looks good and all that. The only problem is, i can't fast forward to parts of the video without the sync between the video and audio messing up.
Can someone suggest something so i can fix the original DVD files?
thanks!

hi! The source video format was originally a video tape. I converted it to DVD with a Pioneer DVD Recorder, and then put that DVD into my pc to edit parts out. I should have used a DVD-RW and used my DVD Recorder's editing features, but i didn't have one handy. Anyway, i then used AVIDemux and converted it to an MPEG2 file. I am not really that experienced with AVIDemux, like choosing the best file format to save it with. I then re-authored it with DVD Movie Factory 3. So far, i tried fast forwarding in the Philips portable DVD player, with sync issues. I will check other things with it and post another reply.

 thanks!
