I'm using a HP laptop with AnyDVD, and Cyberlink DVD Suite to Rip and Burn a retail DVD to Verbatim DVD DL
I rip the whole thing to an ISO the burn the ISO.
I was using cheaper media so I just bought some Verbatim but I still get burn failed.
The DVDs that do burn sucessful dont play right by either freezing or pixelating and skipping
I have been ripping and bruning DVD's for years now and but for the last 6 months or so i've been having problems.
Please help!
Thx

Are these newer movies? Have the same problem if you disable anydyd and using another ripping program like dvdfabdecrypter?
-
I am recommending replication theory, if you get the same results using another method. Troubleshooting requires elimination of anything that is possible.

Try burning with imgburn - plenty of guides here on videohelp. Use a lower burn speed, i.e. 2.4X instead of 4X or 4X if you were using 8X. Dual layer discs can be finicky. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad drive or one that's on it's way.

I just used DVDDecrypeter to rip an ISO and burn it at 4x (verbatim media). the burn was sucessful but the DVD freezes like the others. I can't win!

DVDDecrypter is what amounts to 1000 years old as far as decrypting new movies. Are you telling me you turned off AnyDVD to use an outdated ripper?

LapTop drives aren't as 'robust' as half heights, so even if you're getting a 'successful' burn it may not be able to read the burned disk properly. You might try one of the various drive/disk testing softwares like CD/DVD Speed or Opti Drive Control to see if that's the problem. Personally, I'd use an external burner with any LapTop.

I need to get a good DVD-ROM drive huh? I think i did that when I first started backing up...

1. Laptop writers are inferior to fullsize writers, you can get an external for ~$60USD.
2. Always use Verbatim DVD+R DL.
3. When burning DL use ImgBurn.
4. If you are burning a DL ISO you need the layer break info(MDS file), using a DVD folder in Build mode is another option.
5. Once you burn a DL check for errors using Nero CD-DVDSpeed, there is no a guarantee that the disc will play because every player is different. -
Laptop drives are notoriously picky. The HP laptop I'm using this very minute has an LG drive in it that does little more than add weight. For reliable reading or burning, I have to connect an external Pioneer 112.
