USB Cable - cut off

Do you know if you can fix a USB cable that has been cut off at one end by splicing a new one on ?. I can't easilt just replace the full cab as its in the wall of the house and hard to get out ?

You can solder individual cable wires or use a solder type connector like this.

Thanks. It need it for Type A end of my cable. I'm note sure if its female or male ? Ist the end that goes into computer usb slot's. Sounds like either way a solder job is that right ? just easier with these connectors.

All types of connectors are available with solder pin connections. Some are wall mount.

You can buy USB cables with any combination of connectors.

Total length of USB is limited to ~5m. You may need a repeater.

There's type A "13.1(W) x 5.5(H) mm" and type B "5.6(W) x 3.2(H)mm"
