    Hi all,

i'm working with ffmpegX on my iMac for a while, but I still have some problems. To convert a movie isn't the problem. Burning also going well. When I play it on my Pioneer system, it also going well. But when I play a DVD by my parents, who also have a Pioneer player, the DVD is shocking and finally will hang after say 15 seconds. By another friend, the DVD only shocks all the time. When I burn, also the ffmpegX Progress window is open en convert other movies. Could that be the problem? Or maybe the writing speed? Does anyone maybe know what the problem is?

    Gtz,
    Fleur

But would that solve the problem? I don't think so... There have to be a reason, I think.

Saying something like this when people are trying to help you is a great way to not get any more help. If you know what is and isn't the problem, then why are you asking for help?

    Your problem could be:
    1) The DVD players don't like the media brand you are using. We recommend Verbatim because it's higher quality than what you are using.
    2) Those other DVD players prefer DVD-R media, not DVD+R.
    3) You have issues because the speed of your burns is too high. Believe it or not, it happens. Try 8x or 4x.

The most likely reason for your problem is #1.
