    you gotta love this story:

    http://www.tomsguide.com/us/silent-hill-hospital-blackout-psychosis,news-4984.html

Video games are getting more realistic and lifelike with each new development, but one patient
suffering from a psychosis in a Dutch hospital was truly convinced that he was playing in a real life Silent Hill.

35-year-old Jan H. found his way down to the basement of the Sophia hospital in Zwolle, where he found a number of levers and switches that controlled the power to the building. The man thought that, by operating the levers and switches, he would win a toothbrush.

While it's unknown whether or not Jan H. eventually got his toothbrush, the power outage caused elevators to stall and patients who were on respiratory machines to be assisted manually. Fortunately, no patients suffered any lasting consequences, according to 24oranges.

A court on Tuesday found Jan H. not guilty of his actions because he did not know the consequences of his actions.
on a side note, silent hill really was an awesome game, one of the few games that ever actually scared me as i played it.

same here, it's about the only game that scared me so bad that i couldn't play it for extended periods of time, at first it even gave me nightmares.

in a way it's funny how a game can have that kind of effect on a grown man, resident evil, which was a way better survival horror game, never did anything like that to me, i just found that entertaining, but silent hill, man...

  4. I can still hear that radio static in the dark.... and it STILL gives me the goosebumps...

Or those black transparent baby-like creatures in the school that "just were there" but you couldn't touch.

I should sue them for all the "mental anguish and distress" I experienced playing that game....

...nah!... I enjoyed every second of it!.
