  1. There are a few movies I have converted to DVD that ended up with sound synch problems. The original divx did not have any sound synch problems. I converted four movies to one DVD. They were each about 45 minutes long and ConvertxtoDVD classified the whole thing as "Good" quality before burning.

After the conversion one of the movies had a section near the end of the film that developed sound synch problems. While another movie -- whose log I have below -- had a little silent blip for 5-10 seconds a few minutes into the movie and then became completely out of synch for the rest of the film. The original divx had no such problems.

What could be causing this? What can I do to avoid that if I try to convert it again?

My only guess is there is something wrong with the files that have sync problems. Being able to play them back doesn't mean much as some players can skip over damaged sections and you may not notice. ConvertX is a very stable program and rarely has errors.

You might post a MediaInfo or Gspot screen shot of one of the original files that has a problem after conversion. You can blank out the file name if wanted.
