hi. i currently own a panasonic SDR-H80 and i have TONS of videos on it....heres my issue, the software that came with the camera(VideoCam Suite 2.0) isnt much of a video editing program....i dont have the money to afford adobe primere elements right now as much as i wish i did... my question is: Are there any good free editors out there, NOT trials that make me pay to save it or anything like that...
    Help is greatly appreciated.
    thanks

  3. For simple cut/paste editing you can try Mpeg2Cut2 (free).

You could try VideoPad as I believe your MPEG2 MOD files work with it.
It's a bit basic for titling and effects, and transitions are limited to straight cuts and crossfades but that's all you really need.

"Free" can be very expensive in labor hours and quality of result.
