  1. My TV playbacks DivX files HD and SD including MKV files (720p/1080p) - i have many MKV files that playback but now ive got one that WONT play but its using the same audio/video codecs and resolution as my other MKV files???

can anyone explain why? it has V_MPEG/ISO/AVC video and DOLBY DIGITAL audio in a MKV container (1920x800)

    and is there a MKV (1920x800) to AVI (1920x800) converter .. ?

    thanks

  2. Probably because that particular file has been encoded with settings that aren't compatible with your player (usually, too many reference frames). You can re-encode it to H.264 but with compatible settings.

  4. You can re-encode it with compatible settings. Most programs will have presets that are compatible. You can use uncropmkv, multiavchd, ripbot264, megui....etc...
