I am looking for some thin coax cable. I went to radio shack and the guy told me they dont carry it, but that he would be concerned that for a coax cable to be made too thin might be detrimental to the signal, suggesting that a thin coax cable might invite interference.
I dont really understand what he is talking about.
Has anyone heard anything about this, or experienced it? Here is a link for some I was considering purchasing....

Well that does make sense. The more shielding you have on a cable the better protection it has against interference. And they always say to use thicker cabling on longer runs.
If this is for only a few feet distance say from a settop device to the tv within arms reach I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Now on the other hand if you are planning on snaking it behind cabinets where you have bundles of other wires then I might rethink it and go with standard cables.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Thanks man, I think Im going with the thick stuff. Its only about 15 feet, but I dont want to take any chances.

Yeah that long you should probably go with the regular stuff.

Overpriced and over-rated I'm sure but thin and those 90 degree connectors are quite nice in some situations."To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright
