HI i am wondering if someone could shed some light?
I want to know if i would be able to hook up into a receiver a Yellow a/v cable as an input plugged in the yellow jack and use the Component as the output which is going to a projector??
reason i ask i booked the theater room at my condo building and want to use my media player to play my dowloaded movies.
though the reciever does not have hdmi inputs and my media player is equipped with composite A/V output and HDMI output.
And the Projector hooked up to the reciever is using component cables just wondering if i use the Yellow a/v cable from my media player to the yellow a/v input on the receiver would result in a image on the projector which is hooked up using component.
i dont expect any better quality just want to know if it will work?
Thanks

Some receivers will allow different input and output signals, must most don't. Some will only do it for a limited subset of connections - i.e. component in, HDMI out, or s0video in, component out. Most won't split from something as simple as a composite signal to component or RGB.
However, as is best in these cases, consult your receiver's manual to find out what it's limitations are.Read my blog here.
