Does anyone have an AceDVio? I picked one up used that was advertised working (but the seller had never used anything other than s-video).
Almost everything appears to work (firewire, s-video in, composite out, s-video out, audio in and audio out), except I cannot get composite input to work.
I tried multiple adaptors for the 7 pin mini-din port. The ones that work that successfully send Composite out via the extra center pin does not work to send it in, as it stays a black screen on the controller software. With another adaptor I can get composite to go in over the separate luma+chroma pins, but that leads to a image overlayed with dots due to the chroma/luma cross-talk, which must then be post-processed and causes too much softening.
Is there one of the many undocumented dip switches (two banks) or one of the jumpers that can control composite working correctly as an input source? Or is my composite in line just fried on the used card?

Reading the data spec, the card should come with a composite to s-video adapter ??

Yes, the seller sent two adaptors. They use the special extra pins to feed composite to an RCA jack. They work going out but not going in. I tried other ones and got the same results.
Only one that fed the composite center pin to the existing S-Video luma+chroma pins (instead of the isolated extra pin as they use a 7 pin mini-din instead of a normal 4 pin mini-din) gets any video, but that's a hack since it's just sending composite over Svideo and the card thinks its getting Svideo but really isn't. Therefore it has the chroma artifacts.
If the input worked, it would work with the included adaptors the same as the output sends composite out at the same time as Svideo but on the isolated pins.
Therefore I was just wondering if it has a dip switch somewhere that turned on auto-sense of the input signal or controlled S vs composite as the input preference. I don't think so but so many are undocumented from what I can tell, so had to ask. -
I have ACEDvio card too , without compost cable of course so I am looking for information how to build composit cable to video in ACEDvio ( not svhs ). Do you have information how to solve the problem. Sorry for my english.
