This has been plaguing me. A few years ago I used the registry hack to fix it but it won't work now. I've used the registry hack and looked at the DIVX configuration to correct the error problem but there's no option to turn it off. Is there a way to get rid of error 2?

I downgraded to Divx 5 and that seems to solve the problem. Apparently Virtualdub doesn't like Divx versions above 5.
