    I am essentially trying to capture video gaming footage, Fraps does not work, the file format keeps corrupting for some reason.

    I have tried, Hypercam, Wegame, Playclaw, Camstudio, Snagit, but they all do not record without being very choppy.

    As for my system its decent;

    Intel Corei7 920
    6x1gb OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600
    EVGA X58 mobo
    EVGA GTX260 x 2 SLI
    Western Digital 1TB x 2 Raid Striped
    Resolution 1680x1050
    Windows 7 RC1

    Im up for ideas, the cheaper the better.

  3. Fraps should work, and your system should be more than adequate as to not drop frames. What do you mean by corrupting? It might be a W7 issue. I would check their forum for W7 compatibility

    @Poisondeathray

    I am not sure why Fraps does not work. Using Gspot to see if there is anything wrong with my system vs. the output file this is what i get;

    Corrupt AVI header (click for details)

    Details: This is an invalid AVI file due to corruption of the data in the header. This is a serious problem, and this file is not likely playable

    Details: While processing chunk /RIFF:AVI, found bad length value 192 at file offset 0x00000010

    That is the error I get, furthermore, When I load it into Virtual Dub it does load but before it shows the video a little box pops up and says "Reconstructing Index Block"

    @ Mazinz

    what particularly would be the line out? HDMI DVI ?
