I want to capture 480p, not 480i, and I was wondering how I could possibly do it? Some of the capture cards out right now just don't give good quality video captures.

Would I be able to capture 480p using the Blackmagic HDMI capture card? I do have the Xbox Elite, so it does have HDMI out. Thanks

  2. Have yet to see any usage reports on the BlackMagic card.

Only other option for 480p SFAIK is the breakout box for the Pinnacle Liquid software, but it is pricey and have not seen any usage reports on that, either.

If I was going to gamble, I guess I would get the BlackMagic card, at least that company seems to have a decent reputation.

Anyone know if the Blackmagic Intensity supports 480p?

Also, can I play my 360 while I record to my computer on another TV screen?

well typically there is lag if you play it off of the screen capture monitor on the computer and would be intolerable. But as long as you split the video out to another tv so you have a direct feed to your capture card and play on another screen you should be able to do it without lag.

Hmmm... I think the Intensity doesn't do 480p. Is there a capture card that can make videos similar to the quality to IGN or somewhere else for game videos?
