Yeah, I had the same problem. Don't use the new DVD2AVI, use the old version and it should load up just fine in TMPEGEnc.

It's not actually a fault with any newer version, it's all to do with the 'VFAPI' stuff being version specific.
This should clear things up for many people, here goes.....
When DVD2AVI is ran it puts the path of the VFAPI file into the registry, which is also where TMPGEnc looks:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VFPlugin]
"DVD2AVI"="C:\\Program Files\\DVD2AVI 1.82\\DVD2AVI.vfp"
Let's say I now do some FrameServing and make a 'D2V' file and run TMPGEnc e.t.c, all is fine.
Now let's say I run a different version of DVD2AVI, it will change this entry to the path of what I've just ran, example:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VFPlugin]
"DVD2AVI"="C:\\Program Files\\DVD2AVI 1.85\\DVD2AVI.vfp"
So if I now try to load the original 'D2V' file into TMPGEnc (from v1.82) it wont work as the registry entry is not pointing to the DVD2AVI.vfp of the DVD2AVI program I used to make the 'D2V' file.
So if you have multiple versions of DVD2AVI installed just make sure you run and shut down the version that made your 'D2V' file before using TMPGEnc.
Hope this clears a few things up.
