im using DVDx_1_7 to encode final fantasy, kiss of the dragon, and Atlantis but everytime i do , the audio has crakling sounds or does not sink up with the video, ive it does this when i try to encode to divx, or mpeg1, the video looks very good , the only problem is with the audio. does anyone have any ideas on what could be happening or what i could do to resolve this issue. i ripped the dvds with DVDDecrypter

I'm having the exact same problem, I thought it was my PC I guess not. I thought about extracting the ac3 dolby file using dvdx and then downmix it to wav and then multiplexing video and audio with tmpgenc, of course after de-multiplexing the video file with tmpgenc. I haven't try this since I don't have that much time, if you try it and it works please let me know.

Use Xmpeg/AudioServer/TMPEG.
It's the best combination.
DVDx is getting worse ( specially on the audio pops and video/audio sync ) on every release.

Thanx for your reply.
I just tried what you told us, I like how it looks and sounds so far.
I used FlaskMpeg AMD 0.594/videoserver to avisynth serving/tmpgenc 2.51. The sound is not cracking anymore.
What do you use, just in case I'm doing it wrong.
