    Hi

I'm trying to convert a MKVvideo to MP4 using AVIDEMUX. The video part work quites well but the result has lost it's audio. From what I understand the audio is encoded with OGG (accoring to MkvExtractGUI). When I play the video in avidemux in outputmode the audio is still there so I guess avidemux can decode OGG. But as I mentioned the exnd result is mute.

    Many thanks

Are you reconverting the audio? or using the audio->copy mode? I would try reconvert it to for example aac.

You can try some other tools like handbrake or xvid4psp or winff and see if it works any better.

And I guess you have tried play the output using different players so you are sure it's not a mp4 playback problem...like vlc media player or smplayer.

I tried several players but hte same result. I found a solution though.

I extracted the audio using MKVextract, converted it separately to AAC in SUPER and then copied in to the MP4 during conversion. Not the cleanest solution (I like as few steps as possible) but it worked. Seems that this is an AVIDEMUX bug.
