    is their a program that would allow me to encode my .avi to a HD DVD?

    my .avi isnt HD its downloaded of the internet

  2. any encoder can create 1920x1080 but small streaming files would look bad blown up that much. what specific hd format did you want to encode to and what are the source specs. mediainfo or gspot.

  3. You won't gain anything by enlarging the frame unless your TV/player has a poor upscaler. Upscaling doesn't create details that aren't there. They simply attempt to avoid creating artifacts while enlarging the frame. And sharpen edges a little bit.

    Are you trying to create an HD-DVD, or HD video on DVD? If the latter, you're generally not going to be able to go beyond 720x576, for most set-top players, regardless of whether you're making a DVD-Video disc, or DivX/Xvid videos on a data disc.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
