Hi all, seemed the most appropriate place to post this
This week I shall be upgrading to new PC and also from XP to Vista, i use VirtualDubMod a lot in the video editing I do and I hear various opinions on how compatible VDM is with Vista, have done some googling and still am none the wiser, so I am hoping some people hear can clear it up for me.
Coincedentally use it only to extract the audio from video files, rather than serious editing with it, not sure if that will make any diference, if it wont work it wont work i guess...
Worst comes to worst and is not possible, any recomendations for an alternate software to remove audio from Mpeg2 files accuratly as VDM would be greatly appreiciated

    Thankyou in advance

I don't do a whole lot of Video editing on my Vista lappy, however I've had no problem(s) running VDM....That said I also use avidemux on both my XP desktop as well as on the Vista laptop...I'd recommend either one....

VD Mod works fine with Vista. I have used it for a couple of years. If you have Vista 64, then it's a bit more problematic. But there is a VD for V64 available.

  6. VirtualDubMod works fine under Vista. But you may have a little trouble installing some codecs for use with it.

well as i said i generally only use Mpeg2 video, but the option to import xvid or .264 would be nice, if not essencial.
