I'm new to FCE. I've got a video that I made a .jpg Intro/Outro for in Photoshop. The background of the .jpg is black. When I save the video in FCE as a Quicktime movie the bottom 3/4's of the intro/outro have a slight grayish hue. I have no idea where that came from.

Anyone have any advice on how to fix that or what could be causing it?

    Thanks,

sounds like the dimensions of the jpg do not match the dimensions
of the project, and the gray at top and bottom is garbage matte
that has been applied to fill the area that isn't jpg.

What is default setting for your project?
    ie. 720 x 480, 640 x 480, etc.
Your .jpg in Photoshop should be sized to that dimension.
Open up Photoshop, create new document,
select from the presets what the size needs to be that
    matches your project, click ok.
the resulting canvas is the size it needs to fill to make the
    jpg look right.

I figured it out. It apparenlty was the .jpg but it's only noticable when viewed at a certain angle on my screen. It became much more pronounced when in the movie.
