Sony DVPN S708H hack using the dvd remote

I just bought a sony dvpn s708h and would like to use the hack codes given on this site. Is there any way to input the codes using the remote control of the player? The comments in the hack boards are all using the URC when inputiing the codes....Does any body had any other way?

I can't answer your question, but I want to give you something to think about.

Sony DVD players can only rarely be hacked. The situation is even grimmer for DVD recorders. And even worse, take a look at this player in our DVD Players section and look at the information for the region code hack. Many recently made players by various companies that could be made region free in the past no longer can be made region free. Note the number of posts since January that say "Didn't work" about the region hack for your player. Before you buy a URC, you might consider that there's a very strong chance that this player can no longer be hacked.

Hollywood has gotten to just about everybody and convinced them to stop making players that can be hacked. Sony always gives in to Hollywood so it's really not looking good that you'll be able to get your player in region free mode no matter what you do.
