  1. Hi guys,
could somehow please tell me how to capture svcds with aiw 128 pro?
i followed this tut for vcds (http://www.vcdhelp.com/ATI_AIW_Guide.htm)
    and i'm happy with it.
i wonder if i just change the width & height or is there anything other that needs to be set for it to work properly
    any help would be appreciated

The difference between VCD and SVCD is more than the resolution.
    For example:
SVCD is MPEG2, VCD is MPEG1.
SVCD is interlaced, VCD is not.
SVCD has a higher bit rate than VCD.

If you are using MMC 7.5 (recommended) then try
[http://stinky.dosrules.com/] where there are some SVCD presets.

If are using earlier MMC, then you will have to create your own preset with appropriate settings. Unfortunately I don't have my own settings to hand at the moment.

  3. on MMC 7.1 , here what i did
    (AiW-radeon)
    create new profile

    mpeg2
    480x480
    2.39 mbit/rate
    100% quality

this is the closest you can get , but not 100% compliant
