I got Ulead Dvd Movie FActory 4.0 with my Hauppaauge WinTv PVR USB-2 device and I had been able to create and burn DVDs of the tv shows I recorded. Everything was fine. All of a sudden, the program will not burn the DVDs. I click "burn" and nothing will happen. I've tried mutlitple times and waited even for 4 hours but nothing happens. Nothing has changed in terms of my computer, same system, same PVR, same DVD burner, same everything. Ulead people are no help b/c I got the software through Hauppauge.

Also, I store the tv show files after they record on a hard drive that attaches thru USB 2 as well. I have always done that. But I tried to use the protable hard drive at my parents and downloaded the trial version of DVD Movie FActory 6 and the same thing occurs.

    Please help!

Output to a video_TS folder on your HDD, and burn with Imgburn.

If you really want to get Movie Factory working, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

I can't quite make out from post if it s a burning problem, or if the entire DVD authoring process is what has failed.

Thank you. I am not sure if it is a burning problem or DVD authoring process issue as I am not technically savvy. I can say that my DVD player works and I have been able to burn music CDs so I am not sure what the problem is.

Try burning a DVD of any kind. I have many old burners in my scrap heap that work for CDs, but no longer burn DVDs.

DVD and CD use different lasers, so it is quite possible to have the DVD components expire and the CD components continue to work.
