  1. I tried burning a mp3 disc (using Nero Express) and some of my mp3s have 01, 02, 03 preceding the titles of the song. After I finished burning it and played it, I noticed the ones with the numerics were mixed up. The song title and the song burnt did not match.

Anyone else experience this? I tried taking out the numerics and renamed the mp3 file (left just song titles) and re-burned (this time not with Nero Express, but with Nero Burning ROM) ---> CD-ROM ISO, instead of mp3 CD, and it worked. Not sure if anyone else experienced this.

Yes, it's a common problem. Windows doesn't count like us and some programs may scramble the file positions. You can name the files alphabetically and that usually works.

Redwudz is quite right. However, it may not have been necessary to reburn. Some playback devices will show the MP3 tracks in alphabetical order regardless of the order they appear to have burned in.

  4. When viewing in Windows in folder view select List or Detail, that way they will always be in numerical or alphabetical order.
Another problem when you make a "MP3 disc" or "Jukebox CD" is it will play in the order it was created, when you make a data CD it will play in numerical or alphabetical order.

  5. It seems like Nero only allows the songs to be burned in alphabetical order. I tried moving the files around, as to #1, #2, #3, etc but it would not let me. Is this not allowed in Nero Burning ROM or Nero Express?

Both Prassi ONES and mkisofs will allow you to choose the order in which
you want your data files to be recorded.

It does not. Name your files with numbers at the start if you need them in a particular order:

    01 The First Song.mp3
    02 Another Song.mp3
    03 The Last Song.mp3
