What is the reason that Tmpgenc cannot open the multisegment AVI2 files made by Vdub? Is it becasue Vdub use a non-standard way of saving multisegmented files, and/or that the AVI2 format does not support multisegments? Or is it because Tmpgenc does not have the correct file reader to read multisegmented files directly?
Just curious to why I have to frameserv to feed Tmpgenc a large multisegmented AVI2 file...

Maybe you could write the author to have that put into version 2.53 - seems they are making new versions weekly & are putting in many enhancements.
