Problem with TMPGEnc and AVI2 (OpenDML AVI)

Hi there!

I want to convert a movie to mpeg so I can watch it on my dvd player. I've done this a couple of times before without any problems. Well at first it was the usual DirectShow priority problem with TMPGEnc but once that was fixed it all went smoothly.

Now just rencently I had problems opening files in TMPGEnc. Today I discovered that both the files are of Stream Type OpenDML AVI!

(I don't know much about video types, codecs and all that but I the basics to be able to view on a normal user level, so if I sound stupid that why :P)

The other files I had earlier converted were all normal AVIs. If I check in GSpot it says I got no DivX codecs installed. I just recently installed the K-Lite codec pack but I don't think it makes a difference cause earlier I had DivX Pack (or something like that) and it said I had 5 codecs installed but it still didn't work!

Well to the problem!
What happens is that when I try to open the file it says that it can not be opened, or unsupported. The thing is if I change the VFAPI settings so AVI2(OpenDML) file reader is on top priority it works BUT then the subtitles doesn't work. I can't open the the file in windows media player either, ffsdhow (both audio and video decoder) loads and so does DirectVobSub but the image is just black.

I can play the file and subtitle just fine in VLC and in windows media player classic (that came with the K-Lite pack).

When I load the file in TMPGEnc I see ffdshow load in the system tray but then it close and I get the error. I've googled for hours now and no luck. Finally I gave up and posted here. I hope somebody out there knows why this happens

Oh I'm using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5.

Any ideas or suggestions will be highly appriciated!!

Nobody got any suggestion at all? I cant imagine Im the first one with this problem ;(
