  1. On my wifes laptop (Vista), AVI files with AC3 audio do not play any audio. I used GSpot and it said the AC3 codec was installed. I also downloaded the 'AC3 filter version 1.51a', and still no audio. All files play fine on my desktop pc (also Vista). Any ideas? She really likes Windows Media Player, and doesn't want to switch to another player.

    Thanks!

  2. Go into the ac3 filter config and turn up the master volume. Also try playing files with vlc and bsplayer . what does gspot say when you try to "render" the audio? does it show a fully supported decode path?

  3. Problem solved. When I went to run the Config program, it said it wasn't installed. So I redownloaded & reinstalled the whole AC3 Filter program. Now it works fine!

    Thanks again!
