    Hi All,

I am having a problem getting MPC to play MKV files with the MPC Video Decoder. I have two pc's, and have it working fine on one, but the other will just not play?

I can get MPC to play the file if I use the FFD show filter, or CoreAVC decoder, but I would like to take advantage of the DXVA as I do on my other PC.

The problem is, when I disable and block the other filters and let MPC Video Decoder be the only filter, MPC opens, but the file does not start playing (just sits at 0.00). When I go into the MPC settings play-filters-MPC Video Decoder, I can see the DXVA enabled (as it is on my other PC), but the file will not play.

I know I am missing something really simple, if anyone could point out to me or need more info to solve, let me know, it would be really appreciated!

    Thanks,

    tiger

I don't play many MKV files, but check to see if one of the machines is missing Haali Media Splitter

i ran the checker, it shows dxva1 under the graphic card info and the ModeH264 with no FGT, however it does not show dxva under the mpc Video decoder? Does this help anyone work out the problem?

  5. Are you using MPC or MPCHC? MPC doesn't support DXVA.
