Why does Adobe Media Encoder include a black side-border for my NTSC DVD export of a 50i HDV project? I uploaded a frame grab: http://xs432.xs.to/xs432/08425/vlcsnap-3021465318.png

Also, what can author a DVD with no menu and no recode (when supplied an m2v and wav)? Thanks!

  3. 50i means it was originally PAL, and maybe the source resolution is 720x576 (or 1024x576)? Then the answer is that that's how it did the conversion resizing. Unless you use ITU-R BT.601-4 resizing, you get some small amount of black bars to the left and right. I don't use any Adobe products, but my guess is if there's an ITU or a 601 check box or template, and if you check it or use it it, when resized it won't have any black bars on the sides.
