After upgrading to Studio 11 from Studio 9, we are having multiple issues with 11. We are having playback and editing issues with 11, then we bought a new video card and that fixed the in Program playback issues. However, we continually have had trouble with DVD playback quality, particularly sound quality and jumping in the picture. I have done all the normal routine checks, update DVD Burner Firmware, replaced DVD Burners, used different brands of blank DVDs, I am testing Nero's Authoring Software right now to see how well it works.
If anyone has any advice on getting around this issue or simple dvd authoring software I can teach to the person who not to savvy on this stuff let me know.
(A side note: I personally use Avid Liquid and have no issues on my computer. I also use Studio 9 and I have never had an issue with Studio 9. This is someone I help with their business and they basic videos that occasionally are 30 - 90 minutes long.)

DVD playback problems on a standalone dvd player or computer using a software dvd player or both?
Yep, try some other video editors and see if you get similiar problems. I would try Tmpgenc dvd author 3 or Ulead DVD WOrkshop.
