Hi. I downloaded the Apple Special Event, September 2008 podcast via iTunes. I want to convert the video into an xvid so that I can watch it on my DivX dvd player as I don't have an AppleTV. I tried using ffmpegX but it doesn't work. DivX Converter won't support the source video codec. How do I go about doing this on my mac?

MPeg streamclip?
And moving you to our mac section. -
Also try converting to anything else (DV, for example) from within QT Player Pro (assuming you've paid for the "Pro" upgrade). If the stream is protected, it will tell you that immediately and won't let you convert. That would explain the failure of ffmpegX, as well.
But do try MPEG Streamclip (as suggested by Baldrick). Free is good. -
MPEG Streamclip did the job
