Vob file doesn't work, but it used too

I have this vob video, and the sound is absent. It worked when i downloaded it, it has a ac3 dvm 0x80 audio codec, i thought may be i need to dload and install it, so it would work, i dloaded from free-codecs.com an ac3 direct show and a filter, and checked this video, but the sound is still absent. I don't know what to do, it worked before. please someone, may be you know what should i get for it to work?
also i have someonther vobs, that are 0x80 too but they do work with sound, but they are original dvd rips and this one is a hq tv rip...

Try play with VLC or MPC.

But VOBs shouldn't really be played separate as they should be a part of a dvd-video(vob, ifo,bup files). Because a VOB can contain several audio tracks and maybe is the default audio track empty, etc.

thanks. but it did work, i downloaded it a long time ago and it played fine, that means it can be played fine. it's just now, i found the sound disappeared...
