  1. Hi all!
recently i downloaded 3 avi clips with AC3 5.1 channel audio. I would like to convert and join them to one continuous DVD format with AC3 5.1 channel audio.

Can anyone give me a suggestion on what software to use so that i can watch it in my DVD player with AC3 5.1 audio?

    thx!

  3. If they are the same specifications and codec, you can join them with virtualdub (use direct stream copy for both video & audio)

Then you can take the 1 big .avi and use either FAVC or DVD Flick to author your DVD. Select the option to retain 5.1 audio

If you just plug them in separately to FAVC or DVD Flick, they will be 3 separate titles

If they are different specs, it's a bit more complicated. One way might be to encode to DVD compliant MPEG2 (e.g. use HCenc), join them (with something like mpg2cut2), then author DVD separately (e.g. you can use guifordvdauthor or dvdauthorgui, there are a few others)

DVD Flick will happily take all three parts and encode and author them for DVD without the need to join them first. Just put them all in the same title.
