Hi all,
I got a bunch of DVD-r's with left channel only audio. I'd like to re-author these and convert the left channel to mono. Obviously I'd like to do as little re-compression as possible. Any ideas?

Strip out the video and audio using pgcdemux.
Reconvert the audio to mono ac3 using some audio software like daudiok, belight etc.
Use muxman to author the old video with the new audio. You can now burn the VIDEO_TS folder or
Add back the menus from the old dvd using vobblanker.
If the DVDs contain several tracks it wont be that simple though.
