I'm encoding a 35 minute 720x480 AVI for DVD-R I almost always use 2-pass VBR but was curious about the other settings. I have used CBR in the past for shorter files with 9400 bit rate and it looked great. Any advice on using the CQ setting at 9400 bit rate and the quality slider all the way to 100?
Thanks,
Barney

CQ=100 is close to CBR. Bitrate 9400 kbps may be to high for your dvd player. However, with CBR 9400 kbps you can fit about 11min 30 sec on one 80min CD.
