Help, anyone? I don't care if I can't get the audio, I just want the video footage. It's currently in .VOBB. Someone told me I could just change the file extension to .MPG but I made a copy, tried that, and it didn't work. Preferred new format for the files is anything I can play with in Quicktime Pro and iMovie.
This newb greatly appreciates any/all assistance.
Thanks!

Go get MpegStreamclip and use that to play the .vob.
from there, with the QT Mpeg-2 Component add on,
you can export the .vob to .mov or dv stream to import
into QT or iMovie from MpegStreamclip."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

I got MPEGStreamClip, but not QT Mpeg-2 Component. It appears to cost money... Is there a cheaper/free version of it anywhere that will do what I need, or do I really have to fork over the $$? Also, the clips which would play in VLC don't appear to play in MPEGStreamClip. I mean, the little timer thing is moving, but nothing else is and there's no sound.

It does, however pay for itself when used in conjunction with MpegStreamclip....."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."
