  1. greets,

for some reason QT cannot handle MP4 files with a high bitrate (1500k), well it struggles...

i have successfully extracted a selected clip from QT at 15000K but when i try to make the clip smaller well it hangs at 8% and then freezes although the windows 7 task manager states that the export process is still active.

well.. i ran it last night all through the night and it did not go beyond that.

handbreak is no good as i find the end/resultant clip jitters.

could you please point me the right way/program that can manipulate MP4 files with Blu-Ray like super high datarate?

    thank you.

15Mbit is not any special high data rate. Blu-ray can be up to 40Mbits(40000kbits).

    Or maybe you mean 15MByte/s?
Can you post the details from the mp4?

But I would try ripbot264, megui, avidemux, ffmpeg.

  3. on QT inspector it says:

    data rate: 15.67 mbits/sec.

    normal size: 1920 x 816

for some reason QT really jumps all over the place even on seek.

    any help is welcome.

will look into the software you mentioned also.

    thank you.

What is the frame rate? Try to avoid any frame rate changes when you reconvert.

  5. the frame rate is: 23.98 and i have asked QT to create key frames every 24 frame because for some reason if i dont specify key frame frequency the finished video in Flash Player jumps before playing the MP4 vid clip.

    what do you think?

    thank you again.
