    Hello,
I need a recommendation for software to get my digital video tapes to DVD. I have been using My DVD, version 4.5.2 but it has become unstable. I am able to capture the video but unable to burn to a DVD.

Let me say up front, I am a beginner and have read these forums for some time and to be honest with you, most of you are way advanced for me. I don't want to get as involved as some of you in this hobby. I just want to get my camcorder videos onto DVD. It would be nice to be able to do some basic editing, such as deleting unwanted footage, but past that point anything else would be overkill. Since I have limited knowledge and desire I lean towards the suite type of software such as My DVD which will capture and burn the videos. I know that lots of folks have trouble with this particular software so I think I need to move on to something more stable. It just has to be simple and easy to use and require little technical expertise.

I know that each of you went through the stage were I am at now and had the same needs that I now have. It would be greatly appreciated if you would share your thoughts on what software would best fit my needs.

Thanks in advance for your help.
