I have just purchased the above and would like to know, whether I should be using Blu Ray or normal DVD Disks. I know that there is a size constraint on DVD disks but is there anything else, that I should take into account. Can I save a High Definition movie on a Flash Drive? If Blu Ray, should I be using R or RE? With RE can you add to previous recordings or only write over them? Finally, does anyone have any views on whether to film in 16:9 or 4:3 format?

Sorry for the flurry of questions but I hope someone can help.

great. another new consumer format HD mpeg-2 to deal with. this one shoots full 1920x1080i HD video with Dolby Digital 5.1.

so what are the files named on the memory stick it records to? do they end in .mpg or .ts or something else?

The main files end in mpeg2-ts and there are some others that end in: modd, moff. The mpeg2-ts files have the Windows Media icon on them, which worries me. I do appreciate your help.
