Can anyone recommend any database software that would be useful for filing my home video clips

I have a box of HI8 tapes containing family video footage, that I'm transferring to my PC and I want to create a database of clip information that could be easily searched for when I'm putting together a home movie.

Just to be clear, I'm not looking for software to log my DVD collection

Any help gratefully appreciated!
