I added Dutch subs to a dvd of Blue Earth which contains 4 episodes of each 45mins video.
I used SmartRipper to get a m2v and ac3 file so I can add subs with DVD Maestro, this all worked fine except that I couldn't get the original menu back on the dvd, putting the vob files back doesn't work either(obviously) cause the layout is different.
Orginal just had VTS_01_1.VOB till VTS_01_5.VOB, where the episode isnt in 1 vob file each but overlap each other, the one I got from DVD Maestro has VTS_01_1.VOB and VTS_01_2.VOB for episode 1 until VTS_04_2.VOB.

Did I just the wrong program to add subtitles or is there a way to change to commands in the original menu so they link to the correct(new) vob files?
I got about 6 DVD's where I need to do this and more in the future so I rather not add my own(ugly) menus :P .
The DVD has English subs in its menu if I could just replace that so it enables dutch subs instead of english it would good enough for me but I think even without a option for turning on subs the button on my remote control should be able to turn them on.

I'm totally new to editing DVD's so excuse me if I asked something stupid (and if its in the wrong forum) .
    Thanks a lot.

I missed that you have 4 episodes and my guide wont work that well then. You can add back the menu using vobblanker but you must have same vob structure then.

edit: so it worked with separate episodes?

Yeah it worked I just click each VTS_01_0.IFO file(where each output folder is a seperate folder):

Only the subtitles are a bit orange .

  6. You can fix the colors using either DVDSubEdit or PGCEdit. Here's a guide to using DVDSubEdit for the job:

    https://www.videohelp.com/guides/how-to-change-dvd-subtitle-colors-with-dvdsubedit-id898#898

That orange does look a bit strange, though. It doesn't look like an anti-alias color. Maybe it'll get fixed when you change the colors.

Hmm weird on both my TV's the subtitles are perfectly white, on tv connected to a dvd and the other using TV-out of my pc.
Even if I drag it from my monitor where its a bit orange to my tv it looks fine on my tv.

Needed the guide again so I looked up the link and then I noticed I forgot to thank you and tell you that the DVDSubEdit fixed the orange subtitles .
    So thanks everyone!
