I have DVD9 iso file, and want to convert it to DVD5 size. Is there a way to convert this without burning to
DVD9, then ripping to TS folder, then compressing/converting?

    thanks,

In addition to DVD Shrink, another free program that can extract an ISO to files is 7zip

Thanks for that about 7-Zip, louv68. I use it all the time and I hadn't noticed it could extract ISO files. Guess I should RTFM more often.

I also would suggest Shrink for a quick and easy backup to DVD-5. If you want more quality, DVD Rebuilder is also a option. I don't know if it can open ISOs directly, though, and it will take a fair amount longer. But it's a good choice for longer videos that may lose too much quality with Shrink.
