    i have an avi file that when i play it, it has a green bar in the middle of the screen on my computer, but then i play it on a different computer the green bar is not there. how can i fix this?

    probably the wrong video codec on your computer. Or yours is corrupted. Drop the file into GSPOT and see what exact kind of AVI it is, then get the correct codec and reinstall it.

    i tried but i don't think that the problem. beside when i loaded it nero vision and tried playing it i cant c the green bar. Any other suggestions?

    That would show that the first program you used to play the file is using a corrupted or bad codec, and Nero is using a different one to play it. You might want to use Codec Sniper to find the bad codec.

  6. I suspect the frame size is the problem. Some graphics cards have restrictions on the frame size for video overlay -- they must be a multiple of 4. Your video probably has a width or height that is a multiple of 2, not 4.

    Open your video in two different players at the same time. If one is messed up and the other is OK this is the problem.

    You can fix this by using a player that doesn't use video overlay, or reencoding the video with an acceptable frame size.

    wow thanks for that, it working now. i had the hight in the multiples of 4 but not my width.
