Connecting HD TV - PC

From the manual book of TV, is not clear how to do that. There is a output on my Tv named "pc output" .My PC has DV outputs( one of them works with LCd monitor) What cable I need to use in this case? Thanks in advance.

D-sub is 15 pin VGA. It can support DVI or HDMI as well. Let us know what TV and what video card you want to connect.

The display card DVI-I connector has pins for DVI-D and VGA. Most display cards cone with a DVI-I to VGA adapter like this. In that case you need a VGA cable.



If you can't find the adapter, you can buy a DVI-I to VGA cable. If the cable is over 10ft. make sure it is a good grade with double shielding.

VGA is the more fool proof connection and cables are cheaper.
- no overscan
- Standard computer display sizes (e.g. 1024x768, 1366x768)

DVI-D to HDMI has several issues but offers potential for higher quality.
- overscan
- HDCP
- 1080i/1080p/720p/480p/480i video sizes
- potentially expensive cables

Ummm....I don't think so.....I've already tried hooking up one of my computers to my Panasonic LX70 HD LCD TV by using a HDMI to DVI cable that I got from monoprice.com. All I got was a blank tv screen. I was told by monoprice.com that the video card has to be HDCP capable in order for it to work on a HD LCD TV. Which does make sense. Therefore I'm assuming by using a Blu-ray or the soon to be dead HD-DVD drive from a computer would be able to playback on a HD LCD TV as long as the video card is HDCP capable.
