Hi All,
Need to hack the region code for Sony DAV FX100W. I found a link explaining how to get to the system menu:
"To get to the system menu on this player, remove discs then turn it ON, while holding Stop and Eject press Volume + (All at the same time)."
But this actually brings the system diagnostic menu and there is no option to change the region code.
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance,
alex

Most Sony units cannot be "hacked" and the few that can, don't use simple remote codes. Sony units typically support region free out of the box, or they don't.

The procedure above is likely accurate for accessing the system menu, but the hack posted doesn't state any information besides how to access the system menu, so I don't believe it is a true region hack.

Sony is known for their copy protection enforcement, hence the reason why their players cannot be hacked.Google is your Friend
